Extremely massive lot of antique crafting and fashion buttons, some dating back to over 250 years & totaling roughly 5000 individual buttons collected through a dozen estate sale type transactions. Consists of uniquely designed bakelite buttons from the early 1900’s & handmade mother of Pearl buttons that are even older.The first 7 photos covers the some 2000 colored & transparent bakelite buttons, each with its own one-of-a-kind design & color. As they make up 35-40% of the lot, these represent the most difficult to acquire as all Bakelite products have become increasingly difficult to obtain.The 8th photo details the handmade glass & bone buttons identified by their oversized holes & shine.9th & 10th photos depict the lots metal buttons with some dating back to the civil war era.The last 2 photos are of the approximately 2000 hand carved mother of Pearl buttons.
